I had the most killer weekend.
It involved the following things.
Driving, eating, driving, star gazing, reading, sleeping, eating, shopping, boating, reading, eating, swimming, SWEATING, walking, eating, SWEATING, boating, reading, eating, driving, PLAYING TETRIS AND SCREAMING OBSCENETIES AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS AT BILLJEREMYMEGHANANDMICHELLE UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, reading, SWEATING, driving, And the most wonderful weekend I have had since the LAST time I was invited down to Bill's folks house.
Bill's parents are really gracious and generous people. They invited the thundering horde, Bill, Michelle, Akira, Meghan, Jeremy and I down to their lake home in Okoboji Iowa for a weekend of rest and relaxation. It was, for me, a much needed and very-appreciated break. We all scored some sun and some fun and I cannot thank them enough. More later... phone is a ringing...
Cool! I'm so jealous (jealous in a good way). I have been jonesing for a beach weekend for months - but the LP and I can't seem to coordinate our schedules. The summer curtain is coming down and I'll be jonesing until next year I fear. Oh well. It's good to know some people are basking in the sun and sand. And, each other.
Posted by: mopsa on August 21, 2003 10:48 AMwell, not much sand, mostly rock there, but this last weekend plenty of sun.. too much actualy, ruined plans for go carts and amusement parks, but I certainly had fun, and my folks have commented that they loved having us, so I think a winter escape might be in order.
