Signs that I'm moving to the right borough.

I don't ask questions when it comes to science, which is why I'm taking this information at face value. According to Jane, which is where I get all my news, Netflix has a "favorites" feature, which Lindsay Robertson used to find the most popular movies by borough. Her goal? To find if she was living in the right borough for her movie taste.

Do I have a Netflix account? No. Can I still judge? Yes. Not because I particularly WANT to see any of the popular movies in Brooklyn, but because I would actively AVOID seeing nearly every single one of the most popular movies in Queens.
QUEENS:
1. The Boondocks Season 1
2. ATL
3. Ong-Back The Thai Warrior
4. Phat Girlz
5. Rebound
6. Big Momma's House 2
7. Red Eye
8. District B13
9. Silent Hill
10. Water

BROOKLYN:
1 A Life Apart: Hasidism in America
2. Downtown 81
3. Crooklyn
4. Style Wars
5. Band of Outsiders
6. The Taking of Pelham One Two Three
7. The Warriors
8. New York: A Documentary Film (8 Disc Series)
9. The White Diamond
10. Scenes from a Marriage

HOW CAN I LIVE ANYWHERE WHERE PHAT GIRLZ AND BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE ARE BOTH IN THE TOP TEN?

Umm, so what do you think it means that #9 on the list of South Minneapolis top picks is "The Muppets Take Manhattan." For real, I just tried the Netflix search.

This is officially my new favorite blog post of yours-- not only because I heart netflix, and because I'm a fan of a number of the Brooklyn pix, but because I couldn't have made up that Queens list if I tried. Good lord.

What does this say about where I live? The #1 movie in my Netflix area is "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle".

Any area that has a Muppet movie in their top ten is okay by me. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't get ANY better than A Muppet Christmas Carol.

And Harold and Kumar is much funnier than you'd expect. Not that I've seen it twenty times. Because I haven't.
