My brother's keeper

I've been a big sister since 1985, when Patrick burst onto the scene with his abnormally potato-shaped head and terrible attitude. Since then, I've had the pleasure of being both the bully (making him my secretary whenever we played "work") and the bullied (he broke my tailbone in an attempt to "kick me in the back"). For the past 5 years of so, I've gotten to be his friend, which is awesome, because he's full of small pieces of (poorly spelled) wisdom. Last night he called after work to give me these gems:

N: What have you been up to?

P: Not much, you know. OH! I got a DayMinder, so I've been filling that out. It's awesome.

N: Are you still going out with that one girl?

P: Not really, I don't think so

N: So you broke up with her

P: Uh, yeah

N: How did she take it?

P: I think she cried.

N: You think so?

P: I don't know, I was at work, I was kind of busy.

that is awesome. I have a real soft spot for inane breakups (like in the Office, where Jim breaks up with Kati by saying "No. Let's break up" right after she asks him a romantic question). I love this exchange, even if I'd hate to be the girl!

Let's email or g-chat soon!
