Dodge This

Tried to see F911 last night but the theaters we chose were completely sold out (guess that's good news, eh?) so we ended up seeing Dodgeball and it was completely hilarious, much better than I anticipated. Some great cameos, too. We all liked it and recommend it. Three notes: Meg and I were the ONLY two people to get the "grundle" joke. We almost choked/laughed to death. Stay ALL the way through the credits for a hilarious yet disgusting bonus. I cried. And the brand new Vespa ET4 that Stiller rides on during the movie had its sound replaced with that from a vintage Vespa. Scooter geek, yes, I know.

Hop On The Train

This weekend we finally become (again) a modern metropolitan area with the long-awaited grand opening of the Twin Cities' Light Rail line! Whoohoo! Take part in the Grand Opening Festivities June 26th and 27th - free rides and lots of entertainment!
Now, that said, we never should've dismantled the old system back in 1954, which stretched over 368 miles of the metro area.

Rollei MiniDigi

The newly announced Rolleiflex MiniDigi is one sweeeeet bit of camera gear. I really want one of these (even at only 2 megapixel (or 5.75" square print)). I hope they make a slighly larger version someday soon... estimated price is about $375. [link via gizmodo]

Tarkovsky Polaroids

The Guardian Unlimited has some cool photos from Andrei Tarkovsky, director of Solaris, The Mirror, Nostaliga, etc. Take a look: Tarkovsky polaroids. There is even a book of his polaroids called "Instant Light Tarkovsky Polaroids."
