Grinder

Anyone got a remedy for night-time teeth grinding? My mouth hurts.

Charlie Potter and the Half Chocolate Baby Factory

No, this isn't some weird hybrid fan-fic entry, just an update on life in general. First, the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was a thoroughly enjoyable read and I paced it out over a leisurely two days. Quite a lot of building towards a climax here, and not too much action really, but enthralling all the same.
The new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was engrossing as well. Meg and I both were apprehensive but we both loved it. Depp was wonderful, the kids were very decent and Charlie and Grampa were amazing. Burton's style was spot-on and the guy who played the Oompa-Loompas was hilarious. And hey! Squirrels!
We otherwise lounged around a bit this weekend, had a date night, ate some Thai food, went antique browsing, rearranged furniture, and planned out some details on the old house.
Meghan is doing quite well and the mini-us is now almost as big as my hand! Wow. Supposedly it is time for a growth spurt. Crazy! Lots of friends and co-workers keep trying to get me nervous about the sheer amount of baby stuff, minivans, and lack of sleep. I'm not buying into it, though. Well, the sleep part maybe.
The mountain bike trail my neighbor clued me in on is really close to my house and amazingly awesome -- and right in the city! Who knew? Not me. But I am grateful to learn of it and I expect I'll be riding it regularly. Yes.

Squirrels Gone Wild

Apparently it is spring break at Wilkerville. Witness the debauchery:

Best caption in the comments gets you a first-generation TransPod car adapter for your original iPod!

I reserve the right to judge this contest as I see fit (in any and every way) and the Transpod does work but I now just use an iTrip.

On The Move

Spent ALL day today packing up -- we move to a new house tomorrow (Saturday)! As if that isn't enough pressure, I've been swamped-busy at work (which will continue), traveling for work (over 34,000 miles so far this year), some freelance projects, house projects, painting, and there's this little thing called a fetus in my wife's belly. Yes, a wee Wilker is on the way and we are super excited. Is there anything else I forgot?! I mean, besides sleep and "a life"? Sorry, friends, for my long absence - I haven't forgotten you all.
