We Won a 48 HFP Award

Woohoo! We won an award last night at the "Best of Minneapolis" screening of the 48 Hour Film Project and took home the "Best Ensemble Cast" prize of 2006 for our film "Burnout Trail." Sweet! Huge thanks to our awesome cast and casting director -- they were all super fun, learned their lines in an instant and were laid back and easy to work with as well. Congrats to us all, Team Climaxx!

Found - Say Yes

So many moons ago (almost 3 years ago!) I found a pretty funny note under the old cedar closet in my basement when I was remodeling and I promptly sent it in to Found - turns out it actually on their site now!

48 Hour Film Project Finalist!

So I'm sitting in a client meeting today, in Miami, and we take a short break to get some water and I think to check my email and the message I got first made me flip right out -- we made the "Best of Minneapolis" finals for the 48 Hour Film Project! I wanted to run out to the rooftop and scream out over Miami "We made the finals! We made the FINALS!" but I had to just sit in my chair and wiggle with excitement through the rest of the meeting. The "Best of" show is June 27th, 7pm, at the Riverview Theater and our short is called "Burnout Trail."

48 Hour Film Project Begins

Tomorrow sees the kick-off of this year's 48 Hour Film Project in Minneapolis. But this year... we have our own team! We screen our film on the first day (next Tuesday) so if you wanna support us, be at the Riverview Theater on Tuesday night! Doubtful if I'll be blogging the process but I'll have a wrap-up on the whole thing afterwards.
What is 48HFP? You get a line of dialogue, a prop, a character (all teams get these the same) and a genre (every team draws a genre (comedy, sci-fi, romance, horror, noir, etc) from a hat) on Friday night at 7:00pm and you have 48 hours to make a film and you must turn it in on Sunday at 7:00pm to qualify. Winners of the competition go on to national levels and could appear at SXSW and Cinequest!
