5 Things You Didn't Know About Me
Craig tagged me with one of those blog memes that go around... so here goes:
1. Was voted "Best Hair" in high school, even beating the girls. You'd never know it today.
2. Was awarded a Boy Scout Medal of Honor for dodging into traffic to save a toddler from a truck, thereby fulfilling my dream of being one of those amazing scouts that were featured in Boy's Life magazine (I wasn't actually featured, probably due to the lack of a grizzly bear in my story, but I got the medal and that was enough).
3. Once climbed into the back of my uncle's pickup truck when I was about six years old and nobody knew I was in there and they drove into town. My mom was scared. I was petrified. The thought of that trip still conjures up dreadful feelings.
4. Once burned a hole through my index finger as a youngster because I was curious about whether or not the sparks from my Dad's welding torch were hot or cold sparks. I didn't cry nor did I tell anyone it happened for fear of getting in trouble.
5. Was engaged many years ago. Broke it off right before the wedding. Do not do this. Unless you must. Then do it. But it will still suck.
Bonus Things:
6. I have shot and gutted a deer.
7. I have a crazy urge to read all printed materials that I see.

Yesterday I saw a pure white squirrel run across the road in front of me. Yes, before it snowed. I haven't yet figured out what it portends... any ideas?
