There is a group of skaters, most of whom are in their 70's and 80's, that long blade ice skate (speed skate) together every week and the StarTribune has an article in the Sunday paper about them, including an audio slideshow. These people are active, despite their age! What's my excuse? Um...
posted by jeremy at 11:58 PM | comments (0)Sweet! The news is out that George Clooney is part of a team that is making Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age into a SCI FI Channel miniseries! I hope they do a better job than the "Dune" miniseries (which I still liked, but the FX were pretty cheesy-bad in spots). I'm still waiting for a kick-ass version of "Snow Crash" to be made, but like William Gibson stories, I'm not sure they will be translated well to the big screen.

It requires 10.4.8 and at least a G4 processor and is currently $80 ($38 at Buy.com after two rebates!)
