The BBC says the South African rand is in freefall. Certainly, it is has very rapidly declined in value, but I hope it stops and starts gaining again soon -- my friends in South Africa need money worth something. Not that I would complain about the exchange rate if I took another vacation there, but financially the times are very tough for people over there. Here's to increase.
