Cleaner Vehicles Now

Cleaner vehicles may soon be required by law in California. I think this is an overdue and awesome bill and I hope it passes. We have got to do more long-term thinking in this country so we have something left in 50 years. The technology is available and we have the power to dictate its use. Auto manufacturers just don't want to be the first and only as they perceive that they'll lose profits. Get over it. People will still buy cars/trucks/etc and car companies will still make money. Duh.

Yeah, another in a long line of empty-headed, fascist mandates:

MTBF gas additive -- Just you wait , the MTBF groundwater comtamination disaster has not yet gone into full meltdown)

Diamond lanes & narrowed highways -- MORE pollution!

Electric cars -- Wastes huge amounts of energy by requiring someone else to burn fuel for your car at the other end of a power line. You get more pollution per mile traveled,

The CA pollution tax for cars bought outside of CA -- this was ruled unconstitutional and cost state tax payers billions in refunds and interest.

You have it backward -- most of these mandates benefitted some business that had the politicians in the their pockets (for MTBF is it the oil companies). Follow the really big money.
