I Sat In Every Seat I drove all over the metro yesterday - first down to a graduation party in Hastings and then back into town to the northern 'burbs to meet up with Jack and Michelle to go out and get some seafood (Michelle's craving), followed by a late-night movie. Handy dandy having an iPod to shuffle music whilst mobile, let me tell you. We ended up going to see a "fluff" movie (Two Weeks Notice, better than I expected) and the only show we could get into by the time we finished eating and talking was the 11:30pm show at Wynnsong theaters (a very nice theater with very late shows, if you are a nite-owl like us). Laughably, we were the only viewers of this flick. I decided then that I should take the opportunity to sit in every single seat in the theater. I can tell you that the 2nd from top row in Theater 1 has two broken seats (danger!) and there is a seat on the right side aisle that tilts to the right and a seat on the left side aisle that tilts to the left. The first three rows are just too dang close for total enjoyment.... I may have danced in the aisles just a bit, too... posted by jeremy at 05:15 PM | On This Day:

As an official judge for the Guinness world book of records I can attest to the validity of Jeremy's claim to have sat in all the seats... (mine and Michelle's too although by way of disclaimer I was NOT sitting in my seat when Jeremy was...) And there WAS a certain rhythmic bopping around that could be misconstrued as dancing..All in all a fun time was had by everybody. The movie was surprisingly good. I would take Hugh Grant as the romantic lead of any movie I would direct over just about anybody. He is so skilled as an actor and he makes that sauve yet charming yet lovable character look so effortless. .......... Holy shit!!......sauve yet charming yet lovable????...Where have I seen that lately???wait........bopping and seat hopping??? I could be talking about you Jeremy.......You should start auditioning....... ;-) posted by: jack on January 20, 2003 12:21 AMi have multiple comments here: a) i am dying of laughter at the visual of you sitting in every seat in a theatre. this sounds like something i would do, and frankly, now i might. except that now i won't be original. dammit! b) i'm glad to hear that 'two weeks notice' isn't so bad. i've been craving a cheesy movie lately, and have had trouble deciding between that and maid in manhattan. stop laughing. it's ralph fiennes that attracts me, not j.lo. i swear. c) speaking of hugh grant...'about a boy' is surprisingly good as well. d) it's 1:53am on a sunday. why am i awake and online?! posted by: irish-girl on January 20, 2003 2:05 AM |
