New Toy Hopes This week is the big E3 show (electronic entertainment expo) and it has been a place for not only game developers to show off their hardware and software, but also a place to introduce price cuts. I am hoping very much for a price cut in the PlayStation 2 (down to $149) as I've wanted one since they came out but couldn't really justify the purchase in my own mind. I think I can now. I have to play DDR and GT3 (or GT4?) my friend who works at vivendi universal says she thinks the ps2 prices will be coming down. i'll see if i can get her to send you some free games. ;) posted by: irish-girl on May 12, 2003 1:55 PMME TOO ME TOo!!!!!! I remember my first E3 expo in las vegas, it was in the middle of june, 1992, I had a show at the main ballroom of the original Sahara hotel. The hotel was a dump, we rented our Blue CArgo Van, nicknamed the Blue Bus. and headed off to the strip, we pulled up and Ace (one of my co-workers) started drooling shouting theres so and so or so and so, I can't remember the names, mostly because I didn't know who they were, just alot of women in sequined dresses.. he told me they were porno stars.. all at our hotel, lucky us. We checked in, and then made our way to the ball room, we were to load our equipment in the next day, but we had equipment shipped ahead and wanted to make sure it was all there and intact.. we rode the escalator up, which went directly into the back of the ballroom, and as our heads emerged above the floor line, what did we see, but the adult film convention.. there were naked people everywhere, a little voice in my head whispered "I see naked people" I won't tell any more as I know this is public site, but it was one of the most surreal sights of my life. the end. posted by: bill on May 12, 2003 4:54 PM |
