WireTap

Ambrosia Software has released a free kick-ass little utility called WireTap that can record any audio your Mac OS X machine is currently playing. Very slick and it works great. And I was just about to purchase some software that did the same thing.

Hallelujah!

Jeremy, I've been looking for something like this for FIVE years.

I've been wanting an app to record RealAudio streams. There used to be something on the PC-side, but it was stomped down faster than Napster. I've tried to find *anything* that might record a RealAudio stream, but failed until now.

And why am I so desperate to find such an app? All because on Garrison Keillor's web site there's a "Lake Wobegon" episode from February of 1996 that I love and want to burn to CD.

Cool. Well spotted. That means you can...ahem... 'timeshift' internet radio broadcasts etc etc and that is just so ace. I have already tried webmixing multiple broadcasts and it works great. Thnx for passing this on. Bye.
