iPod Gear? Should Apple come out with new iPod accessories today (ie: my dream of a memory-card reader) along with their supposed announcement of iTunes for Windows, I'll have a Sima Image Bank for sale. It worked flawlessly during my two weeks in Italy and has a 10-gig drive in it. And I'll probably have a 10-gig generation-2 iPod for sale as well since I'll need a new iPod for the new feature(s). UPDATE: Ok, they did iTunes for Windows and new iPod software with support for voice recording and importing digital files from memory cards (with a $99 adapter). This is just wrong. Belkin is the company with the external reader so I don't really blame Apple but it is bigger than the iPod. No no no! Wrong. Plus it takes 4 AAA batteries. Hello? I've got an iPod with a battery in it, I've got a digital camera with a battery in it -- now give me a simple connection/converter cable to hook the two together! I don't need a third device to lug around. I need a cable from camera to iPod!! Griffin? Somebody? Help! (This is the time when I wish I was an engineer-type of person with a development budget). I think I'll try to wait for something in the future... argh. Although Meghan is enjoying iTunes on her PC now! |
