Apple's Big Event 2005 Sounds like a bluetooth Mac remote called "FrontRow" for music, photos and video (how to get to TV, though? they must have a new AirPort or something) and a new app called "PhotoBooth" (hence the chilly relations between Apple and Adobe?) and a new iMac with integrated iSight (with better specs, according to engadget. does this mean a new iSight?) and iPods capable of playing video - but no widescreen format?! iTunes 6 with video downloads and full-screen display(?) which means it now integrates with iPhoto and... for FrontRow? TV show downloads for same price as videos ($1.99) but at QVGA size (320x240)? Engadget's story. The Apple site. My annoyed disappointment... Ok, so it appears that FrontRow is for the new iMac only and it does not integrate with your TV, just on-screen on the iMac. Nor for the iPod since it doesn't have bluetooth (but it does have video-out). What about all the other pre-existing Macs?! All bajillion of them - they don't get to use it? Glad I grabbed the new Salling Clicker 3.0 yesterday. I guess the built-in magnet for attaching to the side of the new iMac is too hard to retrofit in the older models? posted by jeremy at 12:22 PM | On This Day:
