Outsourcing

There is much to consider and debate about the topic of outsourcing work overseas, but when your client has a restricted budget for a small project that your programming associates won't touch (and wouldn't make money on), what choice do you have? Scouring the internet for pre-made programs or scripts that do what we need has lead me to become quite frustrated as much of the existing software is either WAY too complex for our needs or is very poorly designed, or, quite commonly, both. We did find one solution that could be made to work for us but then learned that it is only available as a hosted service and we did not want to have our data hosted by a third-party. So, we decided to hire out the programming. I've contracted a programmer through GetAFreelancer.com and the work has now begun! It is very hard for me to rely on people I've never met before, but I'm excited to see the project through.
