ALERT! Please Help

One-of-a-kind custom pink iBook stolen!
On Sunday night a person (or persons) burgled Nora's house in South Minneapolis. Besides taking purses and other such things of value, her custom iBook was taken as well. She'd really appreciate having it back for her final year of college. She's already contacted the police and most pawn shops but it might take more than that so we're hoping the power of the web can assist us. Spread the word if you can. If you see this very unique Mac lurking around anywhere (ebay, pawn shops, etc), please contact us.

Mossberg: AirPort Express 'falls far short'

The Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg says that Apple's AirPort Express works as promised, but the device "falls far short" of being an ideal solution for listening to computer-based music in a distant room due to a lack of a remote control.
Well, if ol' uncle Walt had a bluetooth device, such as a Nokia phone or a Palm PDA with bluetooth (and I'm sure he does, he's a geek after all), he'd only need to get a copy of Salling Clicker and he'd be set! This is the way to do it, Walt. At least until Apple comes out with a swanky new iTunesRemote thingy.

new 04 pod

wow. ok, I didn't see this one coming (yet): the new iPod gets announced (and leaked early) in Newsweek magazine on Monday (tomorrow). Smaller, more battery life, refined controls, new features such as multiple on-the-go playlists and speed adjustments (for audiobooks and DJs?), and a cheaper price. Nice.
But I'm still waiting for the (cough cough) color screen and (cough) USB-host thingie so it connects directly to my digital camera... and if it played QuickTime or other movie files, too, well that would just be a nice extra bonus. WiFi or Bluetooth? *COUGH* I think I need a drink of water.

Tina, Come Get Some Ham

We went out and saw "Napoleon Dynamite" this weekend and it was a great little movie. Funny, odd, low-budget. My one-liner movie ad promo quote would be something like: "It's Heathers for super dweebs!" or maybe "I sat at that table in the lunchroom and let me tell you it isn't a feel-good experience but at least I've got my integrity..." er, um, well, go see it. Maybe after you go the grand opening of IKEA today, huh?
