heavy sleep

I finally got all my pieces of my new bedroom set and it is a joy to use. I've been sleeping on a twin mattress on the floor for, oh, about 12 years now and I was just fine with that solution. Once in a while I'd yearn for "schlafensraum" (sleeping-room, if my German serves me well) but that was an unnecessary extravagance. Or, it used to be. Now I understand and appreciate the comfort and space of a queen-size bed! Oh joy joy joy!
But lately, I have been sleeping so heavily that when I am awoken (for whatever reason) my mind/body feels like it has been filled with cold molasses -- I am so utterly incoherent and non-functional. This has only happened twice and once I fully awake in the morning I am fine, but it is quite an odd/wierd experience.
